Allyson V

(she/her)
MÖV Barre, MÖV Classic

Allyson’s classes hold space for students to explore their practice to the fullest without taking themselves too seriously. Her authenticity makes her classes feel approachable and real. She’s been known to make her students laugh and cry – all in the same class. And to her students she says, “I view leading a yoga class as people helping people, whether you’re the practitioner or the instructor.”

How did you find your way to yoga?

I started practicing yoga in 7th grade and, admittedly, fell away from the practice during my twenties. A positive thing that came from the pandemic is that it reopened my eyes to prioritizing my physical and mental health. Getting back into yoga was the obvious answer to both.

What should we know about your background?

I completed the Modo Yoga foundational training in August of 2023 and started my barre certification in January of 2024.

What do you do in your free time?

I like to see a lot of live music, and love long road trips and hiking off the beaten trails. Reading and sci-fi films are my go-to wind down activities. I have two dogs – they’re my girls! Quixote is a chihuahua/yorkshire terrier mix and can best be described as Sméagol/Gollum. Greta is a Kelpie/German Shepherd rescue from the south and she is sweeter than a Georgia Peach! Oh, and I would be over the moon if the Timberwolves won a Championship!
