Carrie is known for delivering a challenging workout with a smile. Her classes are upbeat yet approachable, and her students love how strong and capable they feel afterward. When you practice with her, you can expect a dynamic playlist, solidarity, and a lot of encouragement.
How did you find your way to yoga?
I’ve been practicing yoga since 2000 and have found it to be a powerful way to be more in my body, to center my energy, and to feel more balanced and connected.
What should we know about your background?
As a classroom teacher by day, I saw many of my students struggling with self-worth and happiness. So, I decided to get certified in 2006 because I wanted to help build confidence in girls. My love of breath, vinyasa, and connection grew into other passions – I also teach barre, restorative, sculpt, and HIIT, and am also a certified personal trainer. Ultimately, I love to help people feel stronger than they believe themselves to be and to bring out the best in them.
What do you do in your free time?
I love to travel as often as I can and have backpacked across Europe, and visited Canada, Mexico, Belize, The Dominican Republic, and Nicaragua. I also love water, the outdoors, and sunshine, and spending time being active and enjoying friends and family.
