Melissa has the unique ability to teach almost every format we offer at MÖV, all while showing up to each class like a ray of sunshine. She is all about teaching yoga in a way that is accessible to all so that more people can share in the incredible benefits of breath and asana. 

How did you find your way to yoga?

I have been practicing in this space/community since 2011 and started with the sole purpose of exercising, but it quickly became so much more. Yoga has become a practice to heal, a practice of breath, and a practice to be in community with others. While I’ve been teaching since 2018, I will always be a forever student. 

What should we know about your background?

I have done a few different trainings across different states – first with YogaFit and then with Modo Yoga International where I completed training for both yoga and barre.

Aside from yoga, what interests do you have?

I love to travel and hop on planes regularly for work. Ireland is up there on my list, but my true favorite place to visit is my childhood home in Michigan. My favorite way to spend free time is with my family and friends, especially my daughters, as well as hiking, maple syruping with my family, snowshoeing and sledding. And the woods and mountains make me feel the most alive!
