Rachel’s classes are steady and even. After any session with her, you’ll leave feeling grounded, calm, and collected. And she loves to occasionally spoil her students with cold towels at the end of class to help cool the body and soothe the mind – the end result leaves you feeling so blissed out.
How did you find your way to yoga?
I’ve been practicing the yoga of meditation for 13 years, and asana as a serious practice for about 10. I spent a nine-month study on a meditation teaching certificate and went on class retreat in Sedona in 2017. I also did my teacher trading with Modo International in 2019.
Is there anything else you’d like your students to know about you?
I love the power of intentions at the beginning of class. Just so you know, plz, plz, plz, feel free to not listen to me and listen to your heart instead, but I believe from the bottom of my chromosomes that there’s a reason breath is the first gift given and the last taken away.
What do you do in your free time?
I love reading, learning new things, hunting for vintage, yoga, lifting weights, and having sit-down time with my dog who is a toy goldendoodle aka my 10-pound boss. I also love movies as I am easily entertained by them. The only movie I watch to feel my feels and reset is Gladiator. Why? Because I love the goodness of Maximus – he’s a warrior and, in the epic battle of good versus evil, good wins.
