In Courtney’s class, you can tell she wants each and every student to have a safe and powerful experience. Her dance background comes through in her classical barre format and her focus on safety and alignment makes you feel supported along the way. 

How did you find your way to yoga?

I was a dancer all throughout my childhood and early adulthood. I have never really loved working out but my health and wellness has always been important. I found yoga in my late 20s and loved the way it calmed my mind and challenged my body. Six years ago I accidentally took a barre class at a yoga studio and fell in love! It became a large priority in my life. Now, I teach and attend barre classes whenever possible in my busy life!

What should we know about your background?

I started teaching barre about three months after taking my first class and plan to continue to teach for many years to come! I love helping all people, especially women, to feel strong, happy, and healthy. I enjoy making people laugh while I simultaneously kick their butts. ;)

What do you do in your free time?

I love travel, family, friends, good food, long walks, and deep conversations. I’m also a mom and my daughter is my favorite person in the world. She is a competitive swimmer and her schedule is even busier than mine! She is a big reason I strive to keep myself healthy and well in mind, body and spirit.
