MÖV Barre, MÖV Flow, MÖV Fit, MÖV Classic

As a visiting instructor, Kitty leads classes at our studio on a seasonal basis. Living in the desert has turned her into an ultra-distance runner, but she is mostly happy to run in beautiful places for fun. She loves connecting with other runners, and is passionate about teaching people how to incorporate running and yoga into their lives!

HOW DID YOU FIND YOUR WAY TO YOGA?
I took my first hot yoga class in 2001 and was instantly hooked—I loved the heat, the intensity, and how GOOD I felt afterward. Very quickly, it became more than just a physical practice. I started sleeping better, feeling calmer, and connecting deeply with the community. After practicing for four years, I signed up for my first 200-hour training in 2005 just to ensure yoga would always be part of my life. That decision opened the door to a lifelong teaching path that’s brought me so much joy.

WHAT SHOULD WE KNOW ABOUT YOUR BACKGROUND?

I’ve been teaching yoga since 2005 (after completing my first 200-hour training) and completed my 500-hour certification in 2012, along with additional trainings in Yin, Accessible Yoga, and Trauma-Informed Yoga. I also led yoga teacher trainings for seven years and discovered that mentoring new teachers is one of my greatest passions. I’ve been teaching barre for over 15 years and created my own barre training program designed specifically for yoga studios. For a decade, I traveled around the U.S. and Canada leading barre trainings, and from 2015 to 2023, I owned and operated a yoga studio in Las Vegas. I’m thrilled to be back focusing on what I love most: teaching and training.

WHAT ELSE DO YOU DO IN YOUR FREE TIME?

I feel most alive when I’m outside—running, biking, surfing, or snowboarding. I love to travel and seek out places that let me combine adventure with movement (the Grand Canyon is a favorite!). I also share life with my tiny dog, Pepita, whose dinner-time spin moves are my daily dose of joy. Whether I’m on a mat, on a board, or on a trail, I’m always looking for ways to feel more connected, grounded, and grateful.
