MÖV Flow, MÖV CANDLELIGHT RESTORATIVE

Vie’s classes are nourishing and affirming. You’ll leave feeling aligned physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Her teaching style is tenderly firm and gracefully supportive, and through it you’ll feel her deep focus on guiding students toward the Self. When you practice with her, you’ll sense her desire to help people become more present and more aware of their own personal capacity to stabilize or push themselves.

How did you find your way to yoga?

I started practicing out of vanity. I was dancing full time and wanted to get stronger and have stronger focus. Not because I wanted to get closer to my spiritual side. But once I got into it, I learned quickly that the practice helped me see my whole self, not just the parts I wanted to look at and improve. It brought me to a strong sense of self acceptance and I never looked back!

What should we know about your background?

I have been guiding yoga for 10 years. I started teaching as I transitioned out of full time dance work. I know I wanted to stay involved with movement work but was very averse to teaching dance classes. So, Yoga welcomed me to create space and share my wisdom!

What else should we know about you?

My teaching style, my energy, and approach to space-making is rooted in my African American roots, in the Black church, and as a performer carrying the spirit of Motown (aka Detroit) with immense pride. My heritage anchors me everywhere I go.
